Join Coaches Corner host Mike Murray as he and Jeff Raker dive into leadership and why self-awareness is so critical for Coaches to develop strong relationships with their athletes, staff and their own families. Listen for tips and strategies that will help you pause, reflect and create the space you need to make more effective decisions, how to better react to emotional stressors and, learn to listen and ask impactful questions.

Jeff Raker is a former collegiate swimmer at the University of Cincinnati and swam for the legendary Frank Busch. Jeff continues to swim as a masters athlete and has been an official for various USA Swimming competitions for the last 21 years; he was a FINA certified starter from 2011-2018 and served at the USA Swimming Olympic Trials, Short Course Worlds, World University Games, and World Jr. Championships.

Jeff works with NCAA teams such as The University of South Carolina, Denison University, Florida Gulf Coast, Xavier, Mason Manta Rays, Victor Swim Club, Swim MAC, and others. Jeff’s principal goal is to empower teams with leadership skills, mental and emotional well being strategies and has an executive coaching certifications.
