Lakeside Aquatic Club (TX) Head Coach Jason Walter joins Mike Murray on this week’s episode of Coaches Corner! Over the past decade, Walter has overseen the development of one of the best up-and-coming teams in all of USA Swimming and shares his stories about the nuances of that journey. From running the team from the “backseat” of his car to managing a staff of twenty full-time employees, Lakeside’s story is an inspiring one!
Under Coach Walter, LAC has had more success at both the local, state, and National levels than ever before. Jason has coached Olympic Trials qualifiers, multiple USA Swimming National Junior Team members, Junior National champions, Texas High School State Champions and many USA Swimming National Top 10 swims, and have set multiple teams, LSC, state, and Junior National records. He has been named Head Coach of the National Junior Team Camp and had over 75 high school swimmers compete in college.
