Rob Norman was the 2017 Fitter and Faster ASCA Age Group Coach of the Year.  Rob grew up in the Cary area swimming for RSA, before attending boarding school in Va. at Woodberry Forest School. Robert then continued his swimming career at Middlebury College, before transferring back to NC State where he earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology. At that point he began his coaching career. Robert has coached in the area for 9 years now, and coached a number of age groups and abilities. Robert has coached and help produce NCS Zone and Select camp qualifiers. Robert believes in developing well rounded swimmers who have the ability to be competitive in many strokes and distances.  By developing good relationships with his athletes, unique training, and constant communication, he believes this gives athletes the greatest chance of reaching their full potential and goals.
