Cultivating Trust: Building Strong Parent-Coach Relationships for Athletic Success: September 6th, 10:30-11:30 AM
This is a panel discussion that tackles the vital, yet often challenging, dynamics between coaches and parents in youth sports. Sponsored by Fitter & Faster Swim Camps, this event brings together seasoned coaches and swim parents to explore how to channel parents’ passion and energy into a positive force that supports athletes, coaches, and the program as a whole.

The discussion will delve into strategies for building trust and mutual respect through effective communication, managing expectations, and resolving conflicts. Key topics include proactively setting and managing expectations, maintaining open lines of communication while establishing boundaries, addressing differences in perspectives, and fostering an environment of integrity and professionalism.

The ultimate aim is to uncover actionable strategies for creating a collaborative and trusting relationship among coaches, parents, and athletes, benefiting all stakeholders and strengthening the team. By cultivating stronger relationships, we can help keep swimmers engaged in the sport longer, promote the growth of the sport, and make each day at work for coaches more rewarding.
