Meet Marius Kusch: Olympian and 19-time NCAA Champion. With years of international competition under his belt, Marius brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for swimming to the pool.
Growing up in Germany, Marius didn’t have access to the kind of clinics that Fitter & Faster offers. He understands the value of working with a national-level swimmer firsthand and wishes he had that opportunity as a young athlete. Now, he’s thrilled to provide that opportunity to others.
Marius is dedicated to instilling a love for swimming in young athletes. He emphasizes the importance of developing good habits early on, stressing that technique and training are crucial for taking swimming to the next level.
While Marius is enthusiastic about all aspects of swimming biomechanics and stroke technique, he’s particularly excited about starts, turns, and underwaters. He believes that mastering these often-overlooked aspects can make all the difference in a race. So, while he enjoys teaching strokes, he finds teaching the underwater portion especially fulfilling. After all, as Marius knows, races can be won or lost in those crucial moments.
