Since then, Ben continues his swimming career and now competes for Team Charlotte Swimming. He has developed and continued to learn about different approaches to race strategy and pacing within Long Axis Strokes to maximize his best events through a mental approach.
“Swimming is very physical but mental strength is just as important. When I prepare for big meets, I always visualize my races during taper. This always helps me to feel like I’m in control and prepared when I step on the blocks,” shares Ben.
Ben is a very disciplined hard worker who loves to work with younger swimmers to teach them about the power of dedication at a young age. He has lived in Charlotte for a long time and is looking forward to impacting the community there, as he works with Fitter and Faster!
