EXPERIENCE

Kyle Sockwell trained under the leadership of Bob Bowman at Arizona State University, specializing in breaststroke and individual medley. He brings over 10 years of experience in private coaching, as well as over eight years as one of the leading voices in swimming coverage. These days, you can find him producing content for social media and YouTube, as well as commenting on swimming for on-air media like ESPN.

Kyle learned from some of the brightest minds in swimming during his time at ASU in Tempe, Arizona, and found tools aside that helped him advance in the sport. Aside from hard work and dedication, he relied on film review, podcast consumption, and online technique demonstration videos. That led to an appreciation for technology. “Technology is the greatest asset in modern swimming. I have been able to give back to the sport through media while developing a career for myself.

Kyle brings fun and excitement to Fitter & Faster Swim Clinics, inspiring long-lasting engagement with the sport that clinic participants’ coaches can build off of. He strives to create an exciting memory for young athletes, while providing effective coaching along the way.

If there is one piece of advice that clinic participants walk away with, it’s to have fun. Kyle says, “Have fun with the sport and if you’re not in a place where you’re having fun with it…make a change. This sport is too difficult to allow it to consume you mentally.” One thing is certain, if you sign up for a clinic with Kyle, you’ll have fun! There is a high chance there will be some stunt or race happening at the end of each session.
