Give your swimmer the opportunity to get ahead of the competition at this High Performance FFT Swim Clinic. National Champion Tom Luchsinger will be in the water teaching your swimmer the proper technique for FASTER turns, underwater dolphin kicking, breakouts, and finishes!
Tom will lead two sessions on Saturday May 12th designed for competitive swimmers of all ages and ability levels:
Flip Turns, Open Turns, Underwater Dolphin Kicking, Breakouts
Blast through the turns, into underwater dolphin kick, and finish ahead of the competition at this swim clinic designed to help competitive swimmers improve upon the key details that are essential to swimming fast and improving your times. National Champion Tom Luchsinger will teach all participants the drills that they need to practice to master these skills.
- FLIP TURNS: Learn to carry your momentum through the turn to get ahead of the competition every wall. Use your core and your arms to get through the turn and then plant your feet on the wall for a powerful pushoff in the perfect streamline. Tom Luchsinger is a National Champion due to his discipline and focus when executing a proper flip turn. Practice drills and exercises to help you master this athletic skill.
- OPEN TURNS: The open turn is often done incorrectly. Extra movements are added in that slow swimmers down. Keep it simple by spinning backwards and keeping your elbows in close. If you listen closely to Tom, he will show you how he each became the fastest swimmer in the country through the turn.
- UNDERWATER DOLPHIN KICKING: The fastest swimmers in the world dolphin kick off of their walls and breakout ahead of the competition. It's not as hard as you think. Tom will help swimmers improve their technqiue as well as commit to a number of kicks off of every wall so that they can imporve their underwaters now as well as in the future.
- BREAKOUTS: Learn how to carry momentum from the underwater dolphin kicks into the breakout by timing the first stroke and staying streamlined. Your swimmer will practice keeping their head down and it'll make a big difference in their breakout!
Swimmers and parents are invited to ask Tom questions during a Q&A session. Gain insight into her training regimen, diet and nutrition, and recovery tactics.
