This was by far the BEST Fitter Faster Camp (and swim clinic in general) we have attended! It was an extremely well run and planned camp. It was very clear that both Coach Andrew and Coach Iago have a true passion for swimming as well as coaching/teaching kids. They were super engaging the entire time and as a parent, I loved seeing not only my daughter, but the entire group so focused on everything they were saying.
Coach Andrew would explain certain things while Coach Iago demonstrated in the water which was extremely efficient. I was surprised to learn that this was the first camp they had done together as they executed it seamlessly and really made a fantastic team. They both were able to phrase things in a way that illustrated what they were teaching which helped it stick in my daughter’s mind. For example, “one goggle in, one goggle out” “funny face” and “sneaky breath” for freestyle breathing.
Another thing that really stood out was both coaches created multiple “one-on-one moments” with each of the swimmer throughout the clinic whether it was a correction, a compliment or just simply interacting with the kids throughout the clinic. Because they worked together so well, this did not take away from the instruction of the other kids, but rather “added” to the overall effectiveness of their coaching and I know the enjoyment of the camp.
When you do these clinics, you hope that your child uses what they learned. First two practices after the clinic and I could already see my daughter using many of the techniques she learned and applying the corrections they gave her. – Colleen in Cumming, GA

My child learn a lot of easy tips to help her technique in swimming. I learned a lot so that I can help her both in and out if the water. The drills break down the individual components of the stroke so that it is easier for the child to understand proper technique. – David in Delaware, OH

This was an awesome educational clinic. De Lucca did a fantastic job communicating with swimmers and parents. He is enthusiastic about swim technique. He encouraged each swimmer to set goals and make the most out of every experience. My swimmer, as well as myself, learned an invaluable amount information. The camp helped my son improve his freestyle technique. Kristen was a great instructor! She was open to all questions from both swimmers and parents. She took time after each session to speak privately about your swimmer. I asked her a specific question about my son’s technique and she was super helpful figuring out what he needed to work on! My son really enjoyed the camp – when he got to the car on pickup, he was just talking about how awesome it was. His really loved working with the clinicians, talked about how awesome the drills were and how helpful he felt that these new skills would be moving forward.
