Build a better butterfly race! Start out here in Erie, PA with faster starts and more powerful underwater dolphin kicking. Then attend the Pittsburgh clinics (10 & Under or Age 11-12) on explosive open turns and more efficent butterfly technique! 

SUGGESTED PARTICIPANTS: This clinic session is recommended for swimmers ages 11 and under.
  • If you are 12 years old or older, including adult swimmers, you are welcome to register for the 12 & over clinic.

STARTS: Set the tone for a great race with a powerful, streamlined and fast start. There are countless intricacies to performing a great start and you only get better with practice. Learn drills and exercises from Cammile that will help you understand how to execute a better start!

  • Use your arms: Know exactly where to place your hands so that you can pull with your arms on the start to help initiate forward momentum. 
  • Foot placement: Everyone's foot placement might be a bit different but our clinicians will teach you how to figure out what is best for you to gain both stability on the block and explosive power when leaving the block. 
  • Streamlined entry: How you enter the water is just as important as how explosive you are off the blocks. All the power you created can be for naught if you don't carry that speed forward. Learn how to get tight and streamlined at the right angle as you enter the water.

UNDERWATER DOLPHIN KICKING: Absolutely, undeniably, the fastest way to move through the water! Often called the "fifth stroke", understanding the importance of streamlined, underwater speed is vital for every swimmer! Cammile will teach you how to make the most of your streamline and underwater kicking, as well as teach you drills on how to improve upon those skills.

  • Tight Streamline: The simplest way to maintain your speed is a TIGHT STREAMLINE from fingertips to toes! Cammile will reinforce to you why they NEVER take streamlining for granted. Every fast swimmer must look like a rocket when they push off the wall!
  • Core driven kicks: The dolphin kick is a full body movement that takes a lot of core strength. Too many swimmers kick from their knees down. Our clinicians will teach you how to unlock the power of a full body undulation to create incredible power in your underwater dolphin kicks
  • Kick Count/Frequency: Take advantage of every single kick for better training and racing! Learn to use the up AND down portion of the dolphin kick for better distance per kick and power. Smart racers know their kick count off the start and the walls. We will help you create a goal for how many kicks you should hold yourself accountable to now, and in the future, as you improve. 
GET UP AND RACE: Race one of the best swimmers in the world and watch her technique - achieved by practicing the same drills she will teach you.

WATCH THE CLINICIAN: Observe Cammile swim at full speed and demonstrate a progression of perfectly executed drills to achieve powerful, efficient and fast technique.
