SUGGESTED PARTICIPANTS: This clinic session is recommended for swimmers ages 10 and under.
  • If you are 11-12 you are welcome to register for the 11-12 clinic
  • If you are 13 & over, you are welcome to register for the 13 & over clinic
COACHES: There are up to four spots available in the hands-on coaches program. If you are interested in meeting with and working alongside Tyler Clary during the clinic, please contact us.

Butterfly: Butterfly does NOT have to be the hardest stroke! Learning proper timing and technique to swim faster and more efficiently. Learn the body movements that will maximize your power with each stroke. 

  • Efficent Body Position: Maintain a horizontal body line, while generating forward progress, without diving up and down the pool creating unwanted drag. Don't waste any energy! Drive forward and get to the wall faster. 
  • Powerful Kicks: Master the timing of two, equally strong, kicks per cycle. Two kicks will help you maintain rhythm and forward momentum. The dolphin kicks in butterfly are a huge part of swimming fast. Maximize your power by learning from Tyler. 
  • Strong Pull: A high and early catch will allow you to put pressure on the water backwards which will propel you forward. Long and powerful arm pulls will allow you to get more distancce out of each stroke. 

Underwater Dolphin Kicking: Maximize on your momentum off of the start and every wall. The timing, frequency, and technique to your dolphin kicks can make a huge difference and help you to breakout in front of the competition. Tyler Clary will help you learn and understand how to achieve this incredible skill.

  • Body Position: The simplest way to maintain your speed is a TIGHT STREAMLINE from fingertips to toes! Our world-class athletes will reinforce to you why they NEVER take streamlining for granted. Every fast swimmer must look like a rocket when they push off the wall!
  • Core Driven Power: The dolphin kick is a full body movement that takes a lot of core strength. Too many swimmers kick from their knees down. Our clinicians will teach you how to unlock the power of a full body undulation to create incredible power in your underwater dolphin kicks
  • Distance off the Wall: Take advantage of every single kick for better training and racing! Learn to use the up AND down portion of the dolphin kick for better distance per kick and power. Smart racers know their kick count off the start and the walls. We will help you create a goal for how many kicks you should hold yourself accountable to so that you can breakout ahead of the competition

ASK QUESTIONS: Swimmers and parents are invited to ask Tyler questions during a Q&A session. Gain insight into training training regimen, diet and nutrition, and recovery tactics.

WATCH THE CLINICIAN: Observe Tyler swimming at full speed and demonstrate a progression of perfectly executed drills to achieve powerful, efficient and fast swimming.
