Zeynep Tokuz is a rising force in collegiate swimming, competing for New York University where she has earned NCAA Division III Championship qualifications in the 200 IM, 400 IM, and 200 butterfly. Her top performances include a 2:05.42 in the 200 IM and a 4:26.14 in the 400 IM—times that reflect both technical precision and elite-level training.
Beyond the pool, Zeynep exemplifies academic excellence. She has been named a CSCAA Scholar All-American and earned UAA Winter All-Academic honors, showcasing her ability to succeed at the highest level in both sport and school. She chose NYU specifically for its challenging academic environment and competitive swimming program—a combination she has fully embraced.
Zeynep’s swim journey began long before college. She competed all four years in high school, where she built the foundation for her versatile stroke mastery and race endurance. Her primary strengths lie in the IM, breaststroke, and butterfly—events that demand discipline, strong transitions, and mental toughness.
In her personal time, Zeynep enjoys traveling, music, and spending time with friends and family. Looking ahead, she plans to attend graduate school and study abroad, furthering her commitment to lifelong learning and global perspective.
