Felix Auböck has built a reputation as one of the most versatile and accomplished middle- and distance-freestyle swimmers in the world. A three-time Olympian, World Champion, and European Champion, his journey has taken him from his hometown in Vienna to elite training environments across four different countries. Along the way, Felix has embraced every experience—celebrating major victories and growing from tough setbacks—which gives him a deep, relatable perspective as both an athlete and mentor.

While Felix’s resume is filled with individual accolades, he often points to his time at the University of Michigan as the most impactful chapter of his career. Competing for the Wolverines taught him the power of team culture and camaraderie: “There is no better feeling than going to a conference championships meet with your best friends all swimming for the same goal.”

Felix brings that same spirit to his coaching and teaching. His style is hands-on, personal, and fueled by passion for the sport. He leads by example, encouraging athletes not only to master technique but also to love the process of improvement. Whether working with beginners or advanced competitors, Felix connects with swimmers on a personal level—helping them build confidence, resilience, and joy in the water.
