Coleman, a true standout, competed for North Carolina State University under the tutelage of Braden Holloway, who profoundly influenced Coleman’s passion for teaching. Coleman’s impressive career highlights speak for themselves: a World Record Holder, 2x NCAA Champion, 22x NCAA All-American, and a former US National Team Member. Coleman’s also been honored as a 2x ACC Swimmer of the Year and a 13x ACC Champion, and professionally, Coleman is a 2021 ISL Team Champion.
What makes Coleman an exceptional teacher? Coleman’s high energy and remarkable ability to simplify complex swimming techniques. Coleman’s coaching style is rooted in making swimming fun! Coleman believes in breaking down each aspect of swimming to identify and correct inefficiencies, helping swimmers make the sport as simple and enjoyable as possible. Coleman’s personal journey, including being part of a highly dedicated college team, instilled a strong sense of discipline and a robust work ethic, qualities Coleman now brings to every lesson.
Coleman firmly believes that “one great clinic experience can be enough to make a swimmer fall in love with the sport.” Coleman’s mission is to provide fun, safe, unique, and energetic clinics that give every child the chance to create lasting memories and experiences. Coleman lives by the powerful advice Coleman received: to “attack every opportunity like it is the only one I’ll have,” and Coleman inspires participants with the motivating words, “Don’t be afraid to dream.”
For Coleman, swimming has offered much more than just accolades. Coleman cherishes the relationships and sense of community it provided. “Because of swimming,” Coleman reflects, “I was able to create meaningful relationships that enabled me to travel the world.”
