This clinic is designed to be a fun, inspirational, and educational experience for swimmers to learn the details of fast techique while they build on their love for swimming! Learn from Olympic gold medalist Clark Smith and University of Michigan Alumni World Record Holder Ali DeLoof at this unique FFT swim clinic.

11 & UNDER CURRICULUM:
Efficient Freestyle and Flip Turns
Olympic gold medalist Clark Smith is known for his powerful freestyle. Ali DeLoof has an American and World record due to her lightning fast flip turns. They have worked at refining their techniques their whole life and now they want to help others improve! Clark and Ali will be in the weater teaching drills and exercises at this session so that all participants can leave fitter, faster, and with more confidence!

FREESTYLE: Learn how to hold a straight and solid body line so that you can rocket through the water with less drag. Keep your head still and low in the water while driving your kick. Clark will also teach participants how to get an early and powerful press backwards on the water with your pull. You swim freestyle more than any other stroke. Learn how to swim it effectively!

FLIP TURNS: Get through the walls with more momentum by learning the key components to an aggressive approach, fast flip, strong push off and tight streamline from a World Record Holder known for their lightning fast turns. The turn is a huge opportunity to drop time! Don't be left behind!!!
12 & OLDER CURRICULUM:
Reducing Drag for Increased Speed and Efficiency!
There are 2 ways to swim faster: reduce DRAG and increase POWER! This clinic works on reducing drag so that you can go faster with LESS energy! Learn how to reduce your drag and conquer the DRAGon in your swimming with Olympic gold medalist Clark Smith and World Record Holder Ali DeLoof!
Slay the DRAGon: Reducing drag is imperative if you want to move through the water quickly and efficiently. Finding a streamlined body position will help you reduce the water resistance so that you go faster! WATCH THE CLINICIAN: Observe Clark Smith and Ali DeLoof swim at full speed and demonstrate a progression of perfectly executed drills to achieve powerful, efficient and fast swimming. Visual learners will greatly benefit from not only seeing drills and exercises done correctly, but also from seeing them live and in person!
PRACTICE DRILLS: Learn the same drills that Clark and Ali practice every day as well as what they think about when they swim. Then get the chance to practice them and get feedback!
