The Ready Room: Balancing School and Swimming

By Fitter and Faster Staff

One of the biggest challenges that swimmers will face is how to effectively balance swimming with academics. School takes up a large portion of all age group swimmers days and swimming is also very time consuming. Learn from three Olympians who have been through it and have learned tricks to become a champion in the pool and at school!

This #FFTLive Broadcast was led by five-time Olympian as a swimmer and coach Brett Hawke, Olympic gold medalist Katie Meili, and Olympic medalist Lacey Nymeyer.

Lacey Nymeyer was named 2009 NCAA Woman of the Year which honors female student-athletes who have completed their eligibility, demonstrated academic and athletics excellence, and engaged in community service and leadership opportunities and Katie Meili currently attends Georgetown Law School.
