Sign up today for an impactful clinic led by Olympic veterans Joyce and Gangloff! The experienced clinicians come to Yucalpa eager to teach swimmers in the pool they both clinched their Olympic birth to represent Team USA. Specifically designed for swimmers 11 and under, focus will be placed on the hows and whys of all aspects of the sport while teaching the best drills and habits to become faster, more powerful, and efficient swimmers!
A snapshot of what to expect at the clinic on July 12th:
TECHNIQUE: Joyce and Gangloff will demonstrate breaststroke and freestyle. In the water, participants will practice a progression of drills that have enabled the champion clinicians to achieve a high level of success.
IMPROVE BODY LINE: Learn and practice how these athletes achieve proper body alignment enabling a more efficient streamline, breakout and stroke.
CONNECT YOUR CORE: Practice skills that these champion clinicians use to get the upper and lower body working together as a single, connected, powerful vessel.
WHAT ARE THEY THINKING: Get inside the minds of two of the best swimmers in the world. Joyce and Gangloff will dissect their stroke and explain what they think about when they swim fast.
WATCH THE CLINICIANS: Observe Joyce and Gangloff swim at full speed and demonstrate a progression of perfectly executed drills to achieve powerful, efficient and fast breaststroke and freestyle.
INCREASE CORE STRENGTH: Practice dryland excerises that these athletes suggest to increase core strength. A stable, strong bodyline is imperative for efficient, fast swimming - and can not be achieved without a strong, connected core.
GET UP AND RACE: Race two of the best swimmers in the world and watch their near-flawless technique - achieved by practicing the same drills they will teach you.
ASK QUESTIONS: Swimmers and parents are invited to ask the clinicians questions during a Q&A session. Hear the Olympians talk and gain insight into their training regimen, diet and nutrition, and recovery tactics.
