Join 2012 Olympian and currently a coach at Auburn University Tyler McGill on May 4th, 2014, for an action-packed, quality clinic tailored specifically for swimmers 12 and up. During this session, McGill will teach and re-emphasize the absolute proper execution of drills that will enable you to swim more efficiently and faster. He will also work with swimmers on the critical aspects of the sport outside of the pool - including dryland.
Below is a snapshot of what swimmers will learn at this clinic:
How to properly position your entire body in the water to promote overall balance, and ways to improve distance per stroke with a consistent kick and proper hip rotation
Drills to tighten streamline for longer underwaters, have better stroke recovery, and the importance of maximizing underwater catch
Focus on the little things you can do that will make a big difference on race day
Practice core strength exercises and stretches that McGill learned from the best coaches and trainers in the sport
Listen to McGill share his experiences and the habits he attributes his success to – from properly fueling his body to being mentally prepared for every practice and when stepping on the block, and more.
