Swimmers ages 11 and under are encouraged to sign up for a special clinic dedicated to teaching "the essentials" of being a smarter, faster, efficient swimmer. Lead by 2012 Olympic teammates Thoman and Anderson, participants of this clinic will learn to nourish important fundamentals in the pool and to mentally and physically prepare for practice and race day. The clinic promises to be a memorable experience designed to help young swimmers to reach their goals while enjoying the sport.
Some of the activities you can expect at The Essential Clinic on May 31st
Develop freestyle and backstroke ability through drills dedicated to improved head and body positioning, tight streamlines, and explosive walls
Work on stroke technique beneficial in all events – including body rotation, underwater catch, and a steady kick
Learn from the clinicians how they became better competitors in the sport
Practice exercises and stretches that build strength and flexibility
Spend quality time with Thoman and Anderson asking questions about their training regimen, how to eat better for practice and meets, and more during a Q&A session for swimmers AND parents!
