Alyssa is one of the best American freestylers. She is a 2012 Olympic Gold medalist and 2011 World Champion on the 800 freestyle relay. Alyssa has a great way of connecting with participants of all ages at clinics and explaining the importance of drills and certain swimming nuances such as "feel for the water".Read More
Swimmers ages 11 and under are encouraged to sign up now for a swim clinic dedicated to teaching "the essentials" of being a smarter, faster, more efficient swimmer. Lead by Olympians Vanderkaay and Anderson, participants will learn to nourish important fundamentals in the pool and how to mentally and physically prepare for practice and race day.
Below is a snapshot of what participants can expect to do on April 6th:
Work in the pool on technique the clinicians habitually practice to perfect their stroke and efficiency
Learn important fundamentals of all strokes with an emphasis on proper body alignment, a steady kick, and tight underwater breakouts
Watch Vanderkaay and Anderson swim at full-speed demonstrating near-flawless technique
Practice exercises and stretches that build strength and flexibility
Learn strategies for racing, how to constantly think about efficient training, and when and what to eat to properly fuel your body
Ask the Olympians your questions in a Q&A sessions for kids and PARENTS
